Margaret Meinecke, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, is a private practice clinican in Littleton, Colorado. She specializes in areas of addictions and attachment issues. Margaret received her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver in 1993 with an emphasis on mental health assessment and treatment. She serves as a supervisory consultant to the staff of counselors at Denver Kids Inc., A program for at-risk children in Denver Public Schools and lectures at Arapahoe Douglas Mental Health Networks' Child and Family Team on specialized treatment for attachment disordered children and their families. Margaret provides in-service workshops for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), professionals working with children in placement and/or protective custody. She has worked with children at The Institute for Attachment and Child Development as part of their clinical team since 1993. Margaret uses specialized clinical techniques to treat adults struggling with relationship skill deficits due to early childhood trauma, loss or maternal depression.
